The series "Quiet Resistance," consisting of four medium to large scale of textile pieces, is a continuation of Amiri's focus on Afghan women’s daily life as subtle resistance towards Taliban’s encroachment of women’s participation in society. The series depicts abundant details of day-to-day life of Afghan women, conversing and eating, for example. In the safety of private space, the exchanging oral histories, gossip, food, and other items of comfort create strong bonds between them that cannot be controlled or affected by political regimes.
